This month didn’t come with fireworks: no big milestones, no dramatic turning points. Just the quiet work of getting through :)
It was one of those months when you mostly keep going. Where you show up, do the work, take care of people, manage your body, your mind, your schedule – and by the end you’re not sure what you’re supposed to feel, except maybe a little tired.
So instead of asking “What went well?” I started asking a smaller question: what helped me stay here? These are three small joys in everyday life that did exactly that. 😄
1. Training, even when it wasn’t pretty

Some sessions felt strong, others felt slow, heavy, awkward, frustrating, but I showed up anyway.
There is something deeply comforting about a barbell that doesn’t care how your month is going.
It asks for presence, for attention, and for honesty.
On days when my head was loud or my energy low, training gave me a clear task: stand up, breathe, and move. Not to perform, or to chase progress; just to practice being in my body.
There’s joy in that kind of consistency: the quiet pride of doing the thing even when it’s not impressive. Especially then.
2. Tiny moments of connection that wasn’t planned

A conversation that started casually and ended up meaning more than expected; a shared laugh when both of us were clearly tired, and a message that said, without saying it: “I see you.”
None of these moments were scheduled, and none of them fixed anything, but they reminded me that I’m not moving through life alone, even when it feels very internal, very personal, and very solitary.
I’ve learned that joy doesn’t always arrive as excitement – sometimes it arrives as relief.
And this month, those small human connections were exactly that :)
3. Letting “enough” actually be enough

This might be the hardest one. It took me years to learn how to turn my perfectionism into a skill, rather than a burden..
There were days when I didn’t optimise; I didn’t push harder and squeeze one more productive thing into the evening. But I paused and prevented my perfectionism to kill my breath.
I stopped when I was tired, I chose rest without justifying it, I let good enough stand without immediately trying to improve it.
And surprisingly, that felt like relief, and joy. Not the loud kind, but the grounded kind.
The kind of relive and joy that come from trusting yourself instead of constantly negotiating with yourself.
A quieter definition of small joys in everyday life
This month reminded me that joys don’t always sparkle – sometimes they stead you. They may show up imperfectly, be held by routine and softened by people, or they can also be a simple choice not to push when pushing isn’t needed, for the only sake of reaching a bar that can only go higher.
These weren’t big things, but they were enough to carry me through. And honestly, that’s more than enough.
